Thursday

Tday afternoon, WE FINISHED DESIGNING THE BLACKBOARD! i stayed back for a little while more and do up the names of EVERYONE :D monday can go find ur names (: hee click for larger image

den aft that i went to victoria concert hall for the main orchestra concert. although i was alone, i was happy, as i felt so free and relaxed. when i walked out of the Raffles Place MRT, i saw many plastic "wind mills" standing on the grass patches, and since its peak hour, many people were sitting on the ledges of the grass patch reading newspaper and books. perhaps this is the only free time they hav ba to enjoy themselves. frm here we can see the busy lifestyles of singaporeans ):

i followed my legs instead of mind while i walk. i explored my new way, and surprisingly it still lead me to singapore river. fullerton hotel looked lovely during sunset. the white surface of the building were like painted in gold. who will ever notice this if they hav accompany? haha

I stood at the railings beside the river, and watched the bumboats waddling by. aft having enuff of the "river air" i finally made my way to victoria concert hall, and i m still early by half an hr haha.

really met alot of familiar ppl tday, and surprisingly i met CHAR! rachel came juz in time for concert and den we went in tgt.

our seat is so front sia, and I can only see the first few rows of STRINGS! woodwind section is completely blocked T.T anyway the concert was real wonderful and the trumpet concerto by wen rong was terrific :D

The orch played too well, an old man even stood up to clap for them at end of the concert! wad an honour :D

Friday
its the annual COMBINE SCH SPORTS MEET! sadly i didn get to run bt at least i could stay beside the track and cheer for the competitors :D (at least tt is wad i could only do) our team's relay was a real hard fight wif the CCHSM! in the end we gt second, bt we are still happy :D btw CC broke the record timing! anyway grats to jy, dw and all the trackers who put in alot of effort in this competition. no matter wad results DHS IS PROUD OF U <3>aft the whole thing i went for lunch wif myself and i had CHEESE NACHOS frm breadtalk! dun feel like eating so i skipped a proper lunch haha. met alot of familiar ppl again, IN J8. yea like yesterday, i loitered around J8, although i didn go to any shops (me dun like shopping) and i walked round the top floor for more den 4 times -.- i think i abit siao liao :X

the moment i reach home i felt like something is missing for the ear, so i on my com and start listening to music. hehe. found somemore nice songs so i put them under my fav music folder :D heee

daddy borrowed a set of cool documentary on the different tribal grps. i m goin to watch ALL OF THEM MUAHAHA :D

tt all, anyway hope that sunday's performance is a real successful one :D

tday was such a challenging day, coz there are SO MANY THINGS ON! tday i gt orchestra prac, so i brought my clarinets and they r so heavy + i oso had an extra bag of files and books -.- by the time i reached sch my whole hand was like RIPPED, haha hyperbole used. i was still happy, coz i endured until i reached sch :)

LA was crazy man! we formed grps of 6 and each of us had to hand in 3 ROLE SHEETS AND JOURNAL by wk 5 T____T nvm :)

ivp was vry relaxing tday :) bt our grp really cracked our brains :O coz we nida decide which problem to do on and the biggest problem is FIND THE SOLUTION!

MEP was as usual. we did baroque suite tday :D aft i went for the running thing and as expected i m the reserve. aiya me too slow liao haha. anything la no matter wad we still a team :D made new fwens frm 2E anyway :D

later went for orchestra, AND THE BUS 186 HALF AN HR STILL NV COME!!!  i nearly wanted to scream -.- yea i was late for prac bt at least i was in time for haydn, phew! my hand so pain T______T, bt at least i lasted until daddy came to fetch me :D

tday was unlucky and tired, bt i cleared this obstacle :D

Tday NO HOMEWORK!!!!! what a day worth celebrating :D

anyway, tday when i was walking home aft piano lesson, I KICKED A DEAD COCKROACH! And den aft that i suddenly had a very RANDOM thought, who had pity a cockroach before :X i mean like evryone hate cockroaches so much bt have they thought wad they would feel if they are the cockroach :( its not their fault that they wan to spread germs, or want to eat leftover food mah.

tmr gt running trial again :X haish i hav to miss MEP for 15 min haha.

omg XX finish grade 8 clari le! my tcher told me tday. T___T i so lan ar sep den take exam, plus XX started lesson wif my tcher even later den me la!! tday theory was fun, ms soo asked me to play duet wif her, bt somehow tday evryone like so tired, my tcher keep looking at the watch la and wondering when the time is goin to be up.

I am like noob in scale can, cant even play the high G properly. wad is wrong wif me tday? and den theory lesson tat time i kept playing the notes in treble clef to be bass clef-.-

so frustrated la, stil gt a dunno wad MATHS JOURNAL. evryone oso dun care lor, bt the dateline seems scary, ITS DUE ON TUESDAY! omg i think i better do juz in case really nid to do de, BT I NO TIME LE LAR!

i would rather the sch pressurize me den i pressurize myself la T.T

bright side: tmr decorating the blackboard will be fun :D

Hmm international schs SO GOOD. they hav ONE WEEK of EASTER HOLIDAY ): heng i dun like holidays, if not i will b so jealous haha :D tday was BUSY! the whole morning i have been doin proj and hmwk -.-

tday aftnoon when i went for the trial, there were only 2 2J guys there, I RAN WIF THEM -.- and they are so fast. really cant stand my leg sia, CANT IT JUZ STOP HAVING CRAMPS! T.T i ran my "lactic acid- filled legs" haha. the tcher put down all 3 of us' names la, bt i will hav to run again coz too many girls are chosen O_O and the tcher will only choose the best 10. he say i will b reserve if i m nt one of the ten O.O haha juz like sarah said, if can get in, it will b gd, if cant, it might not b bad too :D if i cant even be the reserve den at least i can sit wif my classmates in my class- T juz like any others xD

and btw, TDAY WE GT OUT CLZ TSHIRT! its baby pink bt the design is SUPER NICE! uncle pro sia :DD i think he is oso the one who designed our art club tshirt :D

tmr is holiday, BT I DUN LIKE HOLIDAYS-.- i wan go sch and i MISS ART CLUB! nvm b optimistic, tmr finalli can take time to sort out hmwk and do theory wkbk. composing is nice ^^

tday i shall get a GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPP (:

i didn get enuff sleep yesterday (yawn) bt amazingly i was wide awake in sch, ESPECIALLY during PE. tday we had MOCK NAPFA test for the 2.4km. yay i know two direct juniors liao :D and I TREATED MY JUNIOR MILO OKAY :D me 说到做到。 1F ppl so nice, juz like 2F mah hehe :p (自夸）

its really incredible tt i wasn tired for the first 4 rounds!! dunno y tday stamina like quite gd although i didn exercise for 2 wks liao -.- mayb becoz junior there giving motivation bah :D anyway gonna thank them ^^

here is a random topic to talk about. juz now i watched news (yes i no life de) and there is this part which is about an UNUSUAL PIANO PERFORMANCE by a japanese guy. the special part is HE SET THE GRAND PIANO ON FIRE AND WHILE THE PIANO IS BURNING HE PERFORMED! AND AFT HE FINISHED PLAYIN (SOME PARTS OUT OF TUNE COZ THE FIRE BURNT THE STRINGS) THE PIANO NEARLY COLLAPSED! my comments are I WOULD RATHER THEY BURN MONEY DEN THE PIANO X____________X poooooooor piano! yes its creative bt this kind of creative is abit...  and btw the ppl clapped and cheered aft the piano cover collapsed leh!!! (sry for this comment bt this is wad i thought) i cant think wad will happen if someone tries to burn a clarinet. I WILL CRY MAN! T__T

wahh today i so paiseh. aft sch i suddenly feel like eating ice cream (the stick one) so i bought a lime flavoured one. aft eating half of it, it started to melt so i tried to put the whole thing in my mouth. den when i tried to take out I TOOK OUT THE STICK  (okay this happens often). I thought its vry funny (dunno y) so i laughed and 喷-ed ice cream out -.- my fwen is like saying "ur hair oso gt white white cream leh!" HAHA

alot of ppl seemed to laugh without reasons tday hehe. I still remember miss xuan said something like aft u tell a joke u shld start to laugh first so ppl see u laugh they oso laugh HAHA

during CME tw asked us a picture puzzle AND ITS SO LAME! bt funny oso la. hehe tday is like evrything oso funny de.

hmm i wan to go for the trial for four sch's combine sports meet. WHO IS INTERESTED AND WAN TO JOIN ME?? (plspls) 

HAHA FINALLI SCHOOL IS STARTING!! :D  this holidays is so busy :X bt i enjoyed it la haha and it was vry fulfilling. yesterday was the final day of the ys camp, den aft tt i went to watch yong siew toh conservatory's concert in the evening. They played 3 pieces and i LOVED THE PIECE: Ma Vlast: The moldau composed by Czech composer Bedrich Smetana. When the woodwinds started playing the beginning rite, i was like thinking it seems to lead to a melody tt i m vry familiar about and YEA IT DID! i listened to this piece on tv bfore haha. It is about the river Vltava in Prague and the music described the course of the river through woods, meadow and landscapes where a farmer's wedding is celebrated etc. (i gt go wikipedia to read de hor :D)

i oso went to buy ticket to go watch my clar. tcher 's concert. its like on 4th APR and the $11 and $16 are alady sold out. I bought the 26 bucks one -.- but at least the seat is not bad la, second row :DD violalist (??) and clarinettist MUST go watch okay??

hmm tmr will b term 2 liao, getting bak the geog test paper T__T gd luk guys (:

i so tired and sien, tday ys woodwind's attendance is even WORST den yesterday la! at worst only me and chermaine was there, den hillary and jimmy came. the ridiculous thing happened! D: and i was the only one to play haydn for sectional (is like one to one tutor haha). luckily hillary offered to play for haydn wif me so yea :D thx alot xD

hmph all the other 3 clarinettist nv come bt no choice la, they gt sch activities T.T at least jr came if not the semiquaver part i die liao :XX

lecture was erm (sry to say this bt) is actually quite boring, mayb is becoz i vry blur and dumb so i didn noe wad he talking about haha. (those confucious thingy that i hav no idea why it is related to music) :X

look at the bright side: tmr more ppl will come :D

 

PS. yesterday at nite, the lowest temperature reached 22 degrees! which is the lowest in the past 74 yrs or something? haha i heard this frm the news (actually frm my mum)

whoa yesterday's lecture was so cool! The lecturer talked about african instruments and COMPOUND rhythm. evryone was wondering wad a compound rhythm is until he showed us. first he played a set of rhythm on the double bell, den he asked us wad time it is in. aft we tried to figure out, we found that it can be any time! whether is 3,4 time, 4,4 time or 6,8 time. The fun part is whereby he assigned diff parts to ppl playing the bongo, banana bell and double bell. den we sang wif him the name of the spider in a myth that is told in africa. (i think the name is something like wa-ka-na-wu-teh or something) haha. bt at least we all enjoyed the lecture. :D

and ya yesterday THE WHOLE WOODWIND SECTION only gt me and jr during lecture. its so ridiculous to think that only one person is playing bruch and haydn HAHA bt luckily some others came later xD so it was like HENG AR.

tday is so cold, i saw the thermometer on my table and it showed 25 degrees!!! yesterday i went to bed wif my SOCKS coz my feet was like freezing even though i didn on aircon. hmm tday i m goin to finish sihan NO MATTER WAD :D

look forward to the lecture later ^^

i cant believe tday is THURSDAY already!! i haven finish my sihan T.T yesterday ys was quite cool although we just nearly practiced the whole day. at first we had lecture on the story behind haydn's 104th symphony 'London'. The lecturer also talked about symphony no. 45 oso nick named 'farewell'. this symphony was written in F# minor and it is a key that no one used at that time. this was written to convey the msg to the prince that the musicians wanted to home aft a long stay at the prince's summer palace. towards the end of the piece, the musicians stops one after another and each time they 'finish' playing, they blew out the candles and walked out! there were even a DOUBLE BASS SOLO! until the end of the whole piece, there were only haydn and two first violinist left. of course the prince knew the msg, and he brought evryone home the vry nxt day.

when they were playin bruch, i, chermaine and hillary went to prata cafe for break (actually its juz bfore dinner) and i tried the cheese naan. which is a PURRFECT food to be eaten on a COLD rainy day :D bt sadly aft we are all warm, we nid to go bak again and we ran in the rain -.- yes we were cold again :X

i nearly freeze during the combine, shld hav brought jacket o.O

FROM tday on i shall try to keep my blog updated yea :D haha.  hmmm tday nothing much to talk about. mayb the only thing is tat science meeting thing is finally settled :D holiday hmwk are frustrating man! and O MY GOSH IS 5.30 PM LIAO! time flies *sigh* :O

i haven settle alot of things yet, haven write chinese sihan, haven study variations, haven finish book reflections. BUT at least i finished ivp ppt :D hehe.
